Cupping Massage
A focused treatment for tension, tightness, and fatigue.
Fire cupping uses gentle suction to lift rather than compress, creating space through the tissues and encouraging movement where the body feels tight, heavy, or held. The experience is warm, grounding, and restorative.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
You may feel warmth, gentle pressure, and a pulling sensation as the cups create suction against the skin. We'll adjust the intensity together, communicating throughout the treatment to find a level of suction that feels both effective and comfortable for you. Many people find the sensation deeply grounding and relaxing.
-
Cupping should not be painful, although some areas may feel more sensitive than others. The intensity of the suction is something we find together, with communication throughout the treatment so the sensation feels appropriate for your body. Some people love the feeling of a deep, strong cup; others prefer something lighter and more gentle. There is no prescribed intensity—your experience guides ours.
-
Most marks gradually fade over several days, although the exact amount of time varies from person to person. Their color and intensity are unique to each body and to the areas being treated. They are a natural part of the cupping process and will soften gradually as the skin returns to its usual appearance. If you have an event, travel, or occasion where you would prefer not to have visible marks, keep this in mind when scheduling your treatment.
-
There is no prescribed schedule. Some people come in when tension or soreness has accumulated, while others find that regular treatments help them stay connected to how their body is feeling. Your treatment frequency can evolve with you, based on what you're experiencing and how your body responds.

Fire cupping can be especially supportive when the body feels tight, sore, heavy, or overworked. It may be a good fit if you're looking for a focused treatment for areas where tension tends to linger.
We'll also consider your individual circumstances before treatment, including your skin, medications, health history, and anything else that may affect how your body responds to cupping. Your safety and comfort always come first.
-
Absolutely. This particular offering is designed as a standalone treatment, giving you the freedom to choose what your body is asking for without needing to pair it with acupuncture. You don't need any previous experience with acupuncture to begin. We'll simply start with a conversation about what you're experiencing and what you'd like support with.
Cupping can also be woven into a regular acupuncture treatment when it offers something supportive to the work of the session. A dedicated cupping session allows the cupping itself to become the focus. It’s an opportunity to slow down and give the tissues my full attention, with more time to explore areas of tension, tightness, and fatigue intentionally.
